OPEnE, a beacon of community empowerment, faced a hurdle: field staff data collection lacked proper documentation, hindering information sharing and future analysis. Recognizing this gap, we partnered with Vriddhi under UNOPS to deliver an ICT capacity-building training program.
The training proved transformative. Previously underutilized Gmail accounts became powerful communication tools. Staff embraced features like standard email signatures, fostering professionalism. But the impact went far beyond email.
Google Forms revolutionized data collection. Gone are the days of cumbersome documentation; now, data flows seamlessly, saving time and boosting accuracy. Collaborative tools like Google Sheets and Docs further empowered our team. Information sharing became effortless, paving the way for a future online reporting system.
The training didn't stop there. Staff gained valuable insights into cybersecurity, Google Meet for virtual collaboration, and various data collection tools. This newfound knowledge equips them to not just survive, but thrive, in the digital landscape.
The results are undeniable: empowered staff, streamlined processes, and a data-driven future for OPEnE. This investment in ICT capacity building is a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and serving our community more effectively.
