UNOPS Deputy Executive Director’s recent visit to Sri Lanka brought inspiring moments of connection and insight into our community development initiatives.
At Mayfield Estate in Hatton, we engaged with local communities and explored the impacts of our small grants program on food security and nutrition, specifically aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by plantation workers.
We also engaged in productive discussions with community members, preschool teachers, and the Human Development Organisation - Kandy, emphasising the urgent need for sustainable improvements in nutrition, education, and healthcare and collaboration.
We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect, listen, and work towards impactful solutions together.
