Since 2021, Vriddhi has awarded 48 financial grants to 34 civil society organizations across Sri Lanka. These grants have primarily focused on peacebuilding, reconciliation, women and security, livelihood, food security, and addressing negative coping mechanisms.
Through these efforts, Vriddhi has been able to address the dire and imminent needs of marginalized communities in the Northern, Eastern, Central, Southern, Western, and North Western Provinces, benefiting over 44,000 individuals.
Our financial grants program has been responsive to the country's growing needs, particularly amidst the recent multidimensional crisis. Vriddhi has responded to issues such as food insecurity, loss of livelihood, and negative coping mechanisms arising from the crisis and political instability.
The recipients of these grants have not only expressed appreciation on behalf of their beneficiaries but have also shown improvement in their skills to manage financial grants and project management.
